(EXTRA) Division reports 67 @the Banquet, 151+ walkups at the show and 13 tables sold. Outstanding!

The meeting of the WLD was a full weekend for the Three Lakes Club.  Our post setup fish fry at Moon Dance in Sugar Camp gave us a chance to wind down from the conference work and also be entertained by our guest speaker and his wife.  The evening was filled with WC stories from the Presidents train in WI to the annual Christmas trains run by the WC.

Saturday was a full day for all members with clinics, contests, switching operations on our modules, and helping with the Speeder operations, everyone was kept busy.  Some members were able to get out and enjoy the layout tours. The evening banquet featured a fine dinner, awards for which Three Lakes received 8 certificates, and our guest speaker.
Sunday was a slower day of taking down and packing the modules and equipment. But we did not stop there. The group gathered for a “Cook out Eat in” at Windy Pines, my home in the north woods.  Members and their wives shared in preparation of a nice post conference gathering and dinner in celebration of a successful event with the NMRA WLD and our friends in the RRA.

Monday was a travel day as many of us returned to our winter homes, unpacking modules and equipment and getting ready for building of models over the long winter months.

I am looking forward to a joint meeting in February with the RRA at the Rhinelander Public Library to allow all the hard working members of both clubs to learn to build turnouts using Fast Tracks fixtures.
